Reggaeton is a new style of dance that is wildly popular in Puerto Rico and now the United States. It is styled after Jamaican dance hall moves and is performed to upbeat reggae music. The This Way That Way step is a freestyle move that you make your own with personal touches. Read on to learn how to do the This Way That Way Reggaeton dance move.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start with your feet together and your arms down at your sides. Bend your knees slightly. Step out at a diagonal with your right foot. Transfer your body weight evenly between your two feet.

  2. Step 2

Follow the music as your guide for the next part of the step. With the beat, give your hips a little shake, or pop. Lean into the hip movement toward your extended foot. Beat twice with your hip.

  3. Step 3

Slide your left foot in beside your right foot on the second hip shake. Don't put too much weight on the left foot when you bring it in to the right. You want your left foot ready to move in the opposite direction.

  4. Step 4

Keep the move going and head in the left direction. Step out with the left foot, knees still slightly bent. Give two hip shakes to the left and bring the right foot in to meet the left foot.

  5. Step 5

Jazz up the move with swinging arms. Follow the direction of the step with your arms however the music moves you. This is a freestyle step, so make it your own. Get your whole body in the groove from your head to your toes. Create your own variations on the step to change with the music and mood of the dance.
