Skateboarding is a recognized sport, no longer the arena of urban and beach dropouts lost in an underground culture. Anyone can ride a skateboard, but it is primarily a sport best left to the young, who can heal easily from broken bones. It is a very risky sport, especially when skaters get creative and try new tricks such as the 5-0 Stall Kickturn.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Learn how to Ollie before you try this trick. The Ollie is one of the most basic skateboarding moves you'll need to perform a lot of tricks. Lean back on the skateboard and shifts your weight until the front end tips up. You can stall by continuing to press down until the back wheels come up off the ground as well.

  2. Step 2

Get some speed going as you approach the trick box, and then reach down and pick up the front end of the board as it leaves the ground going into an Ollie. Jump with your weight and begin to turn at a 90-degree angle. Kick it up to the box.

  3. Step 3

Move the board and your body on to the ledge you are using for the trick. You can use a wooden box or a wide step for this trick. Land sideways and let the end of your board slide against the edge of the trick box.

  4. Step 4

Flip it back off the box and let the board land back on the ground in a backwards Ollie. Keep sliding back and you have completed the 5-0 kickturn.
