How to Format a Nokia N73

As cell phones become more sophisticated, many users find they've accidentally filled the phone to capacity or, even worse, downloaded something that's interfering with the functioning of the phone. 1. Perform a soft format of your phone by dialing *#7370# just as you would any other phone number. This will erase the contents of the phone's internal drive.
2. Use a hard format only if absolutely necessary; this sequence will reset your phone back to its original factory settings.
3. Turn your phone off.
4. Hold down the green answer, * and 3 buttons.
5. Switch the phone on without releasing the buttons.
6. Release the buttons when "aFormattinga" appears on the screen.

• If you try to format your phone and it doesn't work, upgrade your software. The early versions of the N73 could not be formatted.
