Change Your Firewall Settings

Go to your control panel and click on the icon for the firewall.

Click on the link to allow a program through the firewall.

Find your VoIP program in the list and check the box next to it, allowing it through the firewall.

Click on the button that says "Apply" and the "OK." Restart your computer so the settings take effect.

Change your browser IP settings if there's no way to change the settings directly for your firewall. Different ports work best depending on which protocol you're using. Look at the VoIP Voice FAQ site for ideas on which port might work.
Circumvent a Firewall Where You Can't Change the Settings

Dial out of the internal network using an existing VPN.

Initiate a call using the VoIP software. If it works properly, then you're done. If it doesn't work properly, proceed to Step 3.

Call your company's technical support department if there's no VPN or you can't make it work effectively.
