Step 1
Write down questions that you need answered about the said field trip that you will be taking your homeschooled children to. Having a list of questions will help direct your thoughts when you call to inquire about the field trip. It will reduce the amount of times you need to call back for more information.
-
Step 2
Make a phone call to the place that you would like to bring your homeschooled children to for a field trip. Don’t be shy when calling them. They are there to answer the phone and help you out with answering questions and resolving problems.
-
Step 3
Ask questions that are specific to your needs regarding the field trip. Questions like: Do they offer field trips? What day and time? How much per person? What type of restrictions are there for the field trip visitors? What is the minimum amount needed in a group? What will the homeschooled children learn on this field trip? There may be other questions that you may want to ask. If you do forget a question or think of new ones later don’t be afraid to call back. It is better to get all the information and get it right the first time then to get a messed up field trip.
-
Step 4
Reserve a date and time with the facility where the field trip will be. Let them know that you will get back to them with the amount of an approximate number of homeschooled children that will be attending the field trip.
-
Step 5
Send out an email, letter campaign or phone call to all the members of your homeschooled group to allow them the opportunity to sign up for the field trip. Give them a date to RSVP that would give you a head count of how many homeschooled children will be going on this field trip.
