The internet has brought to us many innovations. With several major search engines prevalent, finding and gathering images has never been easier. However, sometimes these images need to be edited, and even saved in different formats. These steps will show you how to convert an image format and save it in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
  1. Step 1

    Open the image file in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. You can either open up the application by clicking on the icon, or you can right-click on the image and select “Open with Paint Shop Pro Photo XI”.

  2. Step 2

    Make any changes that you want to the image. Edit the image as desired.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the file tab. On the upper left-hand corner there will be a file tab. Left-click on the file tab and a drop-down menu will open.

  4. Step 4

    Save the image as. Make sure that you right-click on the “Save As” selection under the drop-down menu, in order to change the image format of the file in the desired format.

  5. Step 5

    Select the format type. A pop-up box will appear and there will be several tabs. Name the file and then look for the tab labeled, “Save as Type”. Scroll through the file types and select the desired type, and then click the “Save” button.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always make sure that you have a few copies to work with just in case you accidentally convert the image to the wrong format.
  • Make sure that you save the original copy of the picture in PSP format, or you will lose any work and layers that you have created when converting the format.
