Charging your Tarot deck is essential if you want to get concise tarot readings each time. It is always a good idea to charge your Tarot deck after reading for each person. This means his or her impressions are erased and are not carried into the next reading.

Spreading your Tarot deck on a windowsill in the bright sunlight is a great way to start tarot cards charging. You must leave them there overnight to assure yourself that they are fully charged, so leave them alone for 24 hours. Some Tarot decks have images that are not suitable for public viewing so it is permissible to lay tarot cards face down while charging.

Getting a teakwood box and making layers of Tarot cards and sea salt is a great way to charge up your Tarot cards to get the best readings possible. Be sure to place the box in a sunny place for up to five hours for total charging.

Wrapping cards in silk can also recharge them to their fullest potential. Simply lay out a piece of silk, which is at least 10 inches by 10 inches and place your Tarot cards in the middle. Sprinkle on sea salts on to the cards, and fold over the silk material, leave them sitting in the warmth of the sun to charge fully.
