How to Wear Glitter Eyeliner

1. 

   Select an outfit that is sexy but not shiny. A flattering black top is a great way to draw attention to your face. It can reveal your shoulders and collarbone area but should not bare a lot of cleavage. Because glitter eyeliner will make a flashy statement, the rest of your outfit should be relatively subtle.

2. Keep your jewelry simple. Avoid rhinestone and diamond earrings and finger rings that will distract from your dazzling eyes. Stick to plain gold hoops for your ears and simple gold or silver rings. Generally you should not wear a necklace or bracelets with this look.

3. Wear light shades of powdered eye shadow. The glitter liner will show up better against these colors and will be less likely to smear.

   Outline your eyes lightly with the charcoal eye pencil. If your glitter liner is thin and does not create a clear line, you may wish to use a pencil first.

5. Stroke the glitter eyeliner onto your upper eyelid. Begin at the inner corner of your eye and follow the line of your lid. For a subtle, cat-eye look you may wish to aim for the outer end of your eyebrow rather than following your eyelid back down. If the line is not sparkly enough, apply several coats. Do not use glitter eyeliner underneath your eye as you run the risk of getting glitter in your eye immediately or over the course of the evening.
