Choosing Your Camera

Look for a digital camera with a fast shutter speed.

What Kind of Photos to Take

Decide on the kind of photos you wish to take. For this we will be discussing artistic photos and shadows.

Take black and white photos. They are artistic in nature and shadows jump out in the frame.

Take photos in midday sunlight to accentuate the darker properties.
Step4
Choose a subject that is stationary and has many angles -- a train tunnel for example.

Take photos in various speeds, lights and angles. You can always delete later.

Use photoshop to add digital effects (as needed) to punch up your work.
Creating and Selling Your Compositions
Step1
Build your web site and make is indicative of your over all photographic work to allow for expansion into other mediums.
Step2
Post your photos for sale in a time line frame -- meaning you want it to tell a story.
Step3
Charge a set price for prints based on size in accordance with the shop that will be processing your digital film.
Advertising Yourself
Step1
Link build your web site by including articles on how you took certain shots and submit to Google.
Step2
Post your projects for sale on auction sites and include a link to your web site.

Talk in photography communities on meetup.com, myspace.com or facebook.com in order to get a following.

Subscribe to RSS feeds for the photography community.
