Charging crystals and stones is an intricate part of working with them as tools. Just as it is important to cleanse crystals and stones, it is just as essential to instruct the stones with our intent. By charging the stones, we are infusing them with our energies and purpose. - Crystal(s) and stone(s) to be charged
- Quiet area where you will not be disturbed

Sit comfortably and relax for a few minutes. Concentrate on your intent and focus your energies. Determine what energies you wish to imbue to the stone(s) and crystal(s).

Ask a spirit, or whichever power you feel comfortable working with, to guide you in this process of charging.

Taking a single stone in your hand, hold the stone in your power (dominant) hand. This hand is also sometimes referred to as one's projective hand.

While holding the stone, visualize your intent and/or need. Focus and direct these energies into the stone which you are holding.

Visualize the power pouring forth from your body into the stone. If it helps, visualize the power as a thin white line of light flowing from you into the stone. As you charge the stone, see it starting to glow with the energy you are sending forth.

Once you "feel" that the stone is pulsing with the energy you have put forth, the charge is complete. The feeling following a successful charge is similar to that which follows a successful cleansing of stones.

When you have finished charging the stones, put the stones away and thank the spirit for guiding your working(s).

It is best to charge the stone(s) and crystal(s) before each time of use for ritual, or magical working.
Never imbue a stone, crystal or any other tool with negative or harmful intent. Always remember, that which you give out comes back.
