Things You'll Need:

  • Spot cleaner for spots and stains
  • Vacuum or steam cleaner

    Carpet Floors

  1. Step 1

    Use your spot cleaner, and follow its direction to remove any stains.

  2. Step 2

    Move any furniture that may be in the way of cleaning the carpet.

  3. Step 3

    Vacuum or steam clean the entire carpeted area. You may choose to have it professionally steam cleaned, or rent a steam cleaner yourself.

  4. Tiled Floors

    Sweep the entire tiled area, moving furniture as needed.

  6. Step 2

    Use your spot cleaner, and follow its direction to remove any stains.

  7. Step 3

    Using a mild dish washing cleanser mixed with warm water works wonders on your ceramic tile floors.

  8. Step 4

    Go over it again with fresh, clean water. This ensures that you remove any residue left behind from the soap.
