Things You'll Need:
- Small pair of nail scissors
- False eyelashes
- Eyelash glue
- Makeup mirror
-
Step 1
For the preliminary trimming, leave the lashes as they are arranged in the box. This will help you visualize which part of the eyelash you are cutting and make the lashes more accessible.
-
Step 2
The lashes should be cut at an angle in the clear sections.Trim alternating lashes. Instead of cutting straight across the lash, trim the individual sections. Do not cut all of them at once, but simply thin them out or trim them down slightly. Go easy--you can always cut more.
-
Step 3
Trim the lashes at a 60-degree angle so that they do not look artificial or chopped off.
-
Step 4
Leave the outside lashes longer. One of the things that make false eyelashes so attractive is that they appear thick and luxurious, especially at the outside of the eye where most natural lashes are thinner and often shorter. Do not trim the outside lashes before applying the false lash to your eye.
-
Step 5
Glue on the eyelashes according to the instructions on the box. Make sure they are completely dried before beginning your final trimming.
-
Step 6
Rainbow lashes will never be subtle, but they still need trimming.Touch up your lash line. Make any final adjustments carefully using the makeup mirror. For a more natural look, follow the basic pattern of your own eyelashes and just use the false lashes to increase fullness. For a slightly sexier image, leave the outside lashes long and curly, or you can even curl the entire lash up to make the the lashes more noticeable.
