Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A good eye and touch
  1. Step 1

Look at the chip in your hand closely.

  2. Step 2

Touch the center. Is it metal? The first step to determining quality is that the core should be metal.

  3. Step 3

Feel the chip. Is it smooth and flexible? A good quality poker chip will be smooth as well as flexible.

  4. Step 4

Tap the chips together. If the sound is more dull than high-pitched you are holding a higher quality poker chip.

  5. Step 5

Look at the size of the chip. Casino chips have a 39 millimeter diameter and are the highest quality.

  • Size and weight matters.
