Watercolor pencils are a perfect way to add specific details to your painting. Try these quick and easy steps to make beautiful drawings. You can use your watercolor pencils to create magical art! The only limitation is your own imagination. Read on to find out how to use your pencils.

Things You'll Need:

  • Watercolor Pencils
  • Pencil
  • Watercolor Paper
  • Watercolors
  • Brush
  1. Step 1

    Draw your desired drawing lightly with a pencil.

  2. Step 2

    Proceed to use your watercolor tablets, making sure you are painting with more water for the lighter parts. This is very important because it is the one thing you cannot rectify later.

  3. Step 3

    Wait for the painting to be completely dry and start coloring in lightly with similar pencils on the darkened areas to add more depth to the painting.

  4. Step 4

    Proceed to paint with a paintbrush if it does not have the desired effect

  5. Step 5

    Wait for painting to dry, and use the watercolor pencils again for the fine details. Do not paint over with a paintbrush this time around.

  6. Step 6

    Show off your beautiful art made with watercolor pencils.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you do not color too heavily on the paper.
  • Always make sure you have removed excess water from the brush.
  • Clean up your mistakes with a sponge.
