- Chair or bench
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Drop cloth
- Sander
- Satin paint
- Kilz primer
- Brushes
- Sealer

Sand the chair until it is smooth. Wipe down with a damp cloth to remove all the sand dust on the chair. Let dry.

Do any repairs that are needed before beginning to paint your chair.

Paint the chair with Kilz Primer to cover the old paint.

Stir your paint to make sure it is blended well before starting to paint your chair. Paint your chair. Let it dry overnight and repeat with another coating of paint, if desired.

For personal touches to your project, take an artist brush and acrylic paint and paint small flowers or dots all over the chair. This will hide an imperfection that your sanding step did not take away.
