Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Printer
  • Stamps
  1. Step 1

Make a list of the schools and the programs you have been accepted to.

  2. Step 2

Compose a sincere letter stating your reason for not choosing that specific college program.

  3. Step 3

Thank the college for accepting you. Keep the letter concise.

  4. Step 4

Use words such as "regret" and "careful consideration." You don't necessarily have to mention where you have decided to go to school.

  5. Step 5

Make sure your addresses and programs match. Check your spelling and grammar to ensure they are correct.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are still unsure about what school you would like to attend, talk to the admissions counselor about a possible deferment of your attendance.
