How to Sew Your Own Panties
Underwear is an essential wardrobe item. However, it can be difficult to find the perfect pair of panties and often times when you find them they are outrageously overpriced for hardly any material. Panties that are easy to find are often made of overly cheap material with a great mark up, or they are uncomfortable and ride up. The best solution is to make your own panties. You can start with your favorite pair, and make panties to imitate its comfort and style.
Things You'll Need
- Fabric Pencil
- Cotton Fabric
- Elastic
- Scissors
- Sewing Machine
- Tape Measure or Old Panties
- Seam Ripper
- Clothespins

Find your favorite pair of panties. Take them apart with a seam ripper where you tear out the seams. Lay the underwear out flat, it should be a single piece of fabric, a liner and an elastic band. Choose a similar fabric for proven comfort that will feel good against your bum all day.

Lay out the fabric of your choice on a solid, flat surface. Place the panties sample on top of the fabric. Smooth it out so it is completely flat and even. Keep the edges down and flat. Trace the outline of the panties with a fabric pencil. This will give you an accurate pattern to work with.

Cut out the traced pattern. Fold the edges over slightly and pin them with clothespins. Sew the edges, removing the clothespins as you get to them. Cut a piece of fabric to fit the inside of the panties as a panty liner. Sew the panty liner into the panties, sewing it to the seams on the side.

Measure your hip line where your panties hit. Cut a piece of elastic band one inch smaller than the measurement you took of your hip line. This will make it so the panties fit comfortably without falling down or fitting too tightly. Sew the elastic band to the top of the panties connecting the sides.

Try on your panties to make sure they fit right. If they don't fit for some reason, simply use the seam ripper to dissemble them and start over again. Enjoy your new panties!
