How to Make a Duck Pool

Are you looking for a place where your feathered friends can relax and enjoy themselves on a warm Sunny day? A Duck Pool is the perfect choice for your favorite Ducks of all sizes to have a special place to gather together and play.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Plastic Kiddie Pool 6 feet in diameter.
  • Shovel.
  • Rocks.
  • Water.

    Setting up your Duck Pool.

  1. Step 1
    Pick a sunny location

    Find a location in your yard that the Ducks will enjoy swimming and playing around in.

  2. Step 2
    Use a pointed Shovel

    Dig out an area the size of the diameter of the Duck Pool and make it almost as deep as the top of the pool.

  3. Step 3

    Place your medium sized Kiddie Pool in the designated setting to create your new Duck Pool.

  4. Step 4
    Rocks about 12 inches in diameter

    Add two to three medium to large sized Rocks to different locations inside of the Duck Pool.

  5. Step 5
    Fill up the Duck Pool with cold water.

    Fill the Duck Pool half way up to the top with Water.

  6. Step 6

    Introduce your Ducks to the Pool. Ducks of all shapes and sized will love splashing around in the pool.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try to recycle by reusing a Kiddie Pool that a younger child may have grown out of.
  • Use a pointed shovel to dig your hole, this makes it easier to move more dirt out of the way.
  • After you dig your hole for the pool, keep the remaining dirt around the pool to form a mud bath, the ducks will love spattering around in the mud and then jumping into the pool.
  • Find different large shaped rocks for the Ducks to play and frolic around on.
  • Make sure to keep the pool shallow so small children don't climb in and cause injury.
  • Clean the water out of the pool and add fresh water every two weeks.
