This is a recipe for making a fennel, red onion and pink grapefruit salad. This is a great salad for the summer months because it is crisp and very fresh, also easy to make without needing to spend time in the kitchen for hours.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 Pink Grapefruits
  • 4 Oranges
  • 1 Fennel Bulb
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 4 Celery Sticks
  • 1 Tablesppon Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Whole Mustard
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Salad Bowl
  • Knives
  • Cutting Board

    How to Make Fennel, Red Onion and Pink Grapefruit Salad

  1. Step 1

    Peel the grapefruits and oranges of there outer skins.

  2. Step 2

    Cut the grapefruit and oranges into segments. These should be bite-sized.

  3. Step 3

    Cut the fennel bulb into slices.

  4. Step 4

    Chop the red onion into small pieces.

  5. Step 5

    Cut the celery into small pieces.

  6. Step 6

    In the salad bowl, add the orange pieces, grapefruit pieces, fennel, onion, and celery into the bowl and mix the ingredients together.

  7. Step 7

    In the mixing bowl, add together the cider vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper and olive oil. Mix the ingredients together well. This will be used as the salad's dressing

  8. Step 8

    Pour the dressing over the fruit mixture.

  9. Step 9

    Serve the salad and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • This will keep in the refrigerator for several days in a plastic container.
  • Always be careful when using knives.
