• One or more hair tattoos
• Hair brush

How to Apply Hair Tattoos

1. Heat the flat iron.Unless the instructions on your hair tattoos say differently, set it on high.
2. Brush your hair thoroughly. Hair tattoos adhere best to clean, dry, tangle-free hair. Remember, once you iron in your hair tattoo you will not be able to brush that portion of your hair again.
3. Hair tattoos work best on hair that is long, straight and completely dry. Separate a section of hair using your second and middle fingers.The section should be slightly wider than the hair tattoo and come from the top layer of your hair.
4. Pull the hair straight out from your head.Continue to squeeze it between your second and middle fingers to keep strands from falling out.
5. Lay the hair tattoo on top of the section of hair.Use your other hand to do this so that you do not release your separated section. The shiny, colored side of the hair tattoo should be facing up.
6. Make sure the plates on your flat iron are larger in area than your hair tattoo. Close the flat iron around the section of hair and the hair tattoo for a count of 20. Count steadily and do not move the flat iron or your hair during this time. If you do, the tattoo will smear and create a sticky mess instead of a beautiful decoration.
