Find a gymnasium, recreation center or fitness studio and apply for a teaching position. Offer to give a trial class to be evaluated. Once you've been hired somewhere it's time to work on a class routine that will keep the students active, get a good workout and have fun.

Start off the class with some basic stretches; lunges, toe touches, arm and shoulder circles and so forth. Teach the students how to do simple jabs with their jabs. Bend knees, left arm covers the face, right arm crosses the body and punches. Alternate arms with the jabs.

    • 3

Next do knee jabs. Knees bent take a step and raise one knee to your chest then step and jab. Do both sides several times.

Go through side kicks. Instruct the students to bend their knees, arms up in face protection pose, lean to the left and kick the right leg out. Remind them to keep their leg turned in, foot flexed. Repeat several times then reverse and practice the other side.

Create a combination where you use all the elements you taught during the class. Teach it in small sections, practice, then add on more. Here is a practice routine; chasse right, alternate jabs five times to the corner starting with the left arm, chasse left, alternate jabs five times to the corner starting with the right arm, jump rope for four counts, knee left, jab right, knee right, jab left, lean left kick right four times, lean right kick left four times. Good luck!
