Instructions

    • 1

Mark the surface where the panels are to be installed. Using the tape measure and pencil, mark off where each row of panels should be placed. If the entire wall is to be covered with panels, this step will not be necessary. But if the panels are going to be spaced long the wall, measuring will ensure the final placement is balanced properly.

    • 2

Measure the sites along each panel for the placement of the angle clips. Use the pencil to mark where the screws that will hold the clips need to be placed.

    • 3

Drill the holes for the screws. This will make mounting the clips and securing with the screws much easier.

    • 4

Install the clips along the bottom of the section where the mirrored panel will be placed. This will make it possible to slip the panel into the bottom clips and make it easier to install the top clips and secure the panel at the same time.

    • 5

Slide the panel into the bottom clips. Use the masking tape to hold the body of the panel in place while screwing the top clips into place.

    • 6

Repeat this process with every row of mirrored panels that is to be used on the wall. Leave the masking tape in place on each panel until all the panels are installed.

Tips & Warnings

  • The above presupposes that the mirrored panels are not equipped with an adhesive backing. If the backing does come with an adhesive, still follow the same basic procedure, as the placing of the bottom angle clips and the masking tape will provide the ideal means of keeping the panel secure while the adhesive sets.

  • Do not use adhesive backed mirror panels if renting or leasing. The adhesive will leave permanent scars on the wall, and chances of getting your deposit back will be minimal. Tenants should use mirrored panels that can be taken down easily and leave nothing other than a few small holes to be patched.
