What Daddy wouldn't love getting a poem from his little girl telling him how much she loves him! Writing a Father's Day poem doesn't have to be hard. Just keep these few things in mind.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Time
  • Love
  • Memories
  • Paper
  • Pen or Pencil
  1. Step 1

First, get a scrap piece of paper and list some things you really love about your father, and some special memories the two of you have shared. Fathers and daughters share a special bond with many fond memories and laughs. Draw on the happiest times you remember about being "Daddy's Little Girl."

  2. Step 2

After you finish brainstorming and have some good ideas you can start putting them in order. It's a good idea to start with childhood memories and work up if you are an adult. For children and teenagers you can write about current or new things you've shared with your Father.

  3. Step 3

Once you have your thoughts in the order you want them, it's time to put the poem together. String your thoughts together with descriptive words. You want your Father to remember teaching you to ride your bike or swim. Make him feel like he's back there with you. For example:

    Sun shining brightly
    A smile on your face
    You were so proud
The day we won the three legged race!

  4. Step 4

Once you have the poem complete, a nice added touch is to type it up on your computer, print it out, and put it in a frame, or make it into card form. Your father is sure to enjoy this Father's Day gift from the heart.
