A blender and some ice come together to make snow. Just throw it in a pretty glass and pour in some gourmet, sugar free raspberry flavored syrup. Add a straw and a cherry on top and you've got a delicious, low or no calorie treat that fits into any diet.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Add ice cubes to the blender while it is in the off position using two at the time for quicker crushing.

  2. Step 2

Using the ice crush button, crush enough ice to fill your chosen glass.
Make the ice very fluffy so the syrup will stay on top and not run all the way down into the bottom of the glass.

  3. Step 3

Fill your glass with the ice forming a pretty mound at the top.
If you want to use the traditional cone shaped paper cups, they are available at most department stores and can usually be found near or in the kitchen ware section.

  4. Step 4

Slowly pour the raspberry syrup over the ice until it is covered from top to bottom. If you are packing the ice in tightly adding some syrup halfway through will ensure good coverage.

  5. Step 5

Add a straw and put a cherry on top to make it a special treat.

  6. Step 6

The sugar free syrup comes sweetened with Splenda which has zero calories. This a large, crunchy, sweet, flavorful treat that takes a while to eat making this a very good snack or dessert for those who are watching their figure.

Tips & Warnings
  • A variety of gourmet syrups can be found at most large supermarkets.
  • The more exotic flavors can be bought from online specialty stores.
  • Always keep fingers away from moving blades.
  • Watch out for flying ice chips when adding the ice cubes to the blender. It's best to shut it off with each addition or use the removable cap to drop the ice through.
