How to Make Delicious Turkey Chili

Here is a tasty turkey chili recipe that would be a perfect picnic or potluck dish to share with family and friends. And the best part--it's lower in fat and healthier than your average run-of-the-mill beef chili.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb. ground turkey (low fat or regular)
  • 2 turkey sausages (choose your favorite flavor)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
  • Shredded low-fat cheese
  • Low-fat sour cream
  • Cilantro or scallions
  • Large non-stick pot
  1. Step 1

    Brown turkey and turkey sausage (no casing) in the pot.

  2. Step 2

    Add onion, pepper and celery and sauté until soft.

  3. Step 3

    Stir in diced tomatoes and simmer over low heat for 2 hours. Season to your liking.

  4. Step 4

    Serve with shredded low-fat cheese, low-fat sour cream and garnish with cilantro or scallion.
