Choosing an MLM Program for You.

1. Identify what it is you like to do. The key component to being successful in an MLM is liking what you're doing and believing in it. A home based business through an MLM program will require just as much work as a job, so you might as well do what you love.

2. Search for the things you absolutely enjoy doing using your favorite search engine by using the keyword that describes it most, coupled with "MLM" or "home based business."

3. Read both the search results and the ads that appear on the results page. There may be hundreds of results that are relevant. By looking at the ad boxes on the right side of the screen, you can find out about other programs that want to recruit members.

4. Research the opportunity to make sure the company is legitimate.

5. Call or email the contact person if you determine that it is an opportunity that will work for you.

Tips & Warnings

• MLM groups that are publicly traded are legitimate companies with good products, as a rule. Watch for companies that have low debt and unique products, with good BBB ratings.

• There are some terrific products that are sold through MLM programs, but there are also illegitimate programs out there, as well. Be cautious about programs that promise you incredible amounts of money in a short time.
