1. Get to know the person better by Googling their name, if you know it. Maybe search for a myspace or facebook page for starters. If you don't know anything, try to be polite by starting a conversation when you see them. Keep it general, like did you watch American Idol, and what did you think of the people they have selected as winners? Pop culture is always a safe bet because you can get opinions that you do not have to dig for.
2. Keep good eye contact and let her do most of the talking. Compliment her on style, try to stay away from physical stuff, unless she works in fitness training.
3. Keep the first conversation short and make sure you have control over when it ends. This avoids the ackward silence. Politely excuse yourself, and say you have a meeting or have to be someone where soon and that you would like to exchange contact information to keep in touch.
4. As she provides the contact information, interject the idea of going to a movie or to lunch in the next week or so. Tell her the places you like to eat lunch and let her choose from those, in case, she likes really expensive places. This saves your wallet. The movies are pretty much consistent across the board, so maybe ask what types of flicks she likes.
5. Call her or email within 24 to 48 hours to remind her about the date (really to remind her about your interest in her).
6. Inviting her to go to lunch on your tab to continue the conversation shows interest. The movies is a general date, if you don't know how to continue the conversation. Open the door for her, if she is walking behind or beside you when you go for the first time. Sometimes women prefer to do things themselves if they are in front.
7. Leave her remembering the date, by asking her for advice. Women like to feel needed, so make up a situation or use a real life one that is not too personal. She should be more than happy to help, and this will determine how well you impressed her with your charm.
