1. Keep the tone informal and casual as you have a conversation on a first date. You do not want to feel like you are interviewing your date for a job opening.

2. Ask your date questions about what he thinks a dating relationship is. This will let your date open up to what he thinks dating realliy is.

3. Tell your date about your own thoughts about dating. Even if they differ from his opinions, it is better to express them now then to butt heads further down the relationship road.

4. Ask your date about his life goals. Tell him about goals have as well. This will give you insight on where he may be going in life.

5. Ask any deal breaker type questions on the first date to make it very productive. If you have children and if he does not enjoy children, this will not be a good relationship. This is good to know on a first date.
