Making a Paper Chinese Dragon
-
1
Draw and cut out a dragon head and a dragon tail with your poster board. You are going to make the body in another step. If you don't know how to draw a dragon head you can look for some examples online or in some library books. The tail can be created much like a fish's tail except larger.
-
2
Paint a sheet of typing paper red and tear it exactly in half when it is dry.
-
-
3
Fold the red typing paper in an accordion type pattern. Glue the two sheets together at the seems. If the glue doesn't hold well you can use a staple gun on this step.
-
4
Decorate the dragon's head and tail. You can use any color paint you like and even make glitter patterns. It's your dragon and there are no rules on how you should decorate it. Just use your imagination. Make sure you add his or her eye on before you finish up.
-
5
Allow the paint to dry and then begin gluing the head to the front of your red accordion and the tail to the back end of your accordion.
-
6
Glue one popsicle stick to head of the dragon and one popsicle stick to the tail end. Place one hand on each of the popsicle sticks and have your dragon do a Chinese dance.

Tips & Warnings
To make the glitter patterns you first draw the pattern in a line of glue. Then sprinkle the glitter on top and allow to dry.
