How to Straighten Hair Without Blow Drying

Many people who were born with curly hair long to have straight hair at times. There is a fast way to straighten your hair without blow drying. Follow these simple steps to straightening your hair without blow drying.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 flat iron
  • 1 hair brush
  • 1 hair clip
  • 1 well lit mirror

    Its Easy to Straighten Your Hair

  1. Step 1

    Plug your flat iron in and heat it up to its hottest setting to start straightening your hair without blow drying. You will also need to make sure your hair is dry.

  2. Step 2

    Pull the top half of your hair into a bun and secure it on the top of your head with a hair clip. The smaller the section of hair that you are working on the faster you will be able to straighten your hair without blow drying.

  3. Step 3

    Take a one inch section of the hair that is hanging down and run the flat iron over it. Repeat this with the section of hair until it is straight. Repeat this step on all of the hair that is hanging down, doing it in one inch sections, running the flat iron through the hair until this layer is straight.

  4. Step 4

    Let down the hair that was pulled on top of your head. Repeat step 3 with this portion of your hair that needs to be straightened.

  5. Step 5

    Style your hair as usual when your hair has been straightened to your liking.

Tips & Warnings
  • Using a de-frizzing serum before you using the flat iron to straighten your hair without blow drying will keep it smooth and shiny all day.
  • Repeatedly using this technique to straighten your hair can cause damage and dry out your hair. Deep condition your hair at least once a week when using this method to flat iron your hair.
