I wrote one article on conserving your iPhone's battery. this one is on ways to extend it. Each step will be a different option on extending it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iPhone
  • Whichever option from above that you choose
  1. Step 1

The simplest and cheapest way to do extend your iPhone battery is to get a car charger. This of course only really works if you spend much time in the car. I use the Powerjolt from Griffin Technology ( http://www.griffentechnology.com ). It is only $20 and comes with extra cables and everything you might need.

  2. Step 2

The iPhone battery is not replaceable, so you cant just carry a spare with you. However you do have options. The first is the Mophie Juice Pack ( http://www.mophie.com ). It is like a slip on case that has a backup battery in it. The iPhone will use the battery in the Juice Pack first so when it is empty you can remove it if you like. It will about double the battery life of the iPhone.

  3. Step 3

The next option is similar to the Juice Pack, the iV ( http://www.fastmac.com ) acts as a case as well, it will fit into your dock for charging, and will charge both the iPhone and the iV while on the dock. It will seriously extend your battery life. It also has a light on the back for taking pics in the dark, and has USB plugs for charging other devices.

  4. Step 4

If you want to go green, you can use the Solio Universal Cell Phone Charger ( http://www.solio.com ). This charger features solar panels for power. It also will charge most cell phones and other devices as well.

  5. Step 5

There are tons of options for extending your battery life, it would be a 80 step article to have them all. I tried to pick the best ones, that will give you options you will be happy with.
