  • 1/3 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup honey (separated into 2- ¼ cups)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups reduced-fat milk

Instructions

  1. How to Make Honey Flan

    • 1

      Combine milk, eggs, vanilla extract and ¼ cup honey in a medium mixing bowl, . Whisk until well blended, but not frothy.

      Combine the cinnamon and remaining ¼ cup honey in a separate small mixing bowl with a whisk until well mixed.

      Arrange 4 glass, 6 ounce dessert cups in a square glass baking dish. Place 1 tablespoon of the honey-cinnamon mixture into each of the 4 dessert glasses. Equally distribute the egg mixture into the dessert glasses.

      Pour boiling water into the baking dish, surrounding the dessert cups. Pour enough water that the water level is 1 inch higher than the bases of the cups.

      Bake for 35-40 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Let cool before handling. Use a knife to loosen the ends of the dessert cups and turn upside down on a dessert plate. You can serve these warm or chilled. If you are not serving immediately, leave the custard in the dessert cups and refrigerate until needed.
