How to Use Frontline Plus

Frontline Plus is designed for cats and dogs 8 weeks old or older and effectively kills fleas and tics. Within 24 hours of application Frontline Plus not only kills fleas and tics, it also kills the flea eggs and larva. It is effective for at least 30 days and may last as long as 3 months for dogs.

Things You’ll Need:

• Frontline Plus
• Pet

1. Open the package and remove the applicator. You may need a small pair of scissors to open this child resistant package.
2. Hold the applicator in an upright position. Break the tip of the applicator by snapping away from the body.
3. Locate the area between the shoulders on your pet. Apply the applicator to the skin and squeeze the entire contents onto the skin of your pet.
4. Avoid bathing your pet for at 24 to 48 hours after applying Frontline Plus. Although it is water proof and will remain effective even if your pet goes swimming, avoiding bathing right away will allow it to spread throughout the surface of the body. Frontline Plus will work its way over your pet's body by collecting in the oil glands and spreading by translocation without any assistance from you. Simply apply and groom your pet as usual until it is time for the next application.

Tips & Warnings

• Frontline collects in the oil glands of your pet's skin and spreads over the body by translocation. When fleas come in contact with Frontline, they die within 18 hours.
• Frontline will remain effective for 30 days and may last up to 3 months in dogs and 6 weeks for cats. Reapply when you notice the appearance of fleas or tics.
