This is a (very) short article on giving your iPhone longer battery life.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

There are 2 main power hogs on the iPhone. The first is the Wi-fi antenna. If you are not using Wi-fi, shut it off. To do this go to Settings then to Wi-Fi and set to off.

  2. Step 2

Number 2 is the bluetooth antenna. If you are not using a headset then go to Settings -> General -> Bluetooth and set to off.

  3. Step 3

One last thing which I will mention mainly to try to clear up myths. Setting your mail to check less often is often said to save battery life, and it does, but very very little. With the first 2 items here you gain hours of standby time. With this one you gain minutes. So unless you need every second of standby and talk time, don't bother.

Tips & Warnings
  • Leave the wi-fi and bluetooth off when not needed.
