Purchase or use an existing set of hospital scrubs. You can purchase it any local hospital supply store or purchase online at websites such as "Lydia's Uniforms." Pick a solid color in blue or green for a professional look.

Make your shirt official. Using a black marker, neatly write “Dr.” and “”your name” across the top of your pocket. You can also make up a clever doctor's name.

Wear a facemask. If you cannot find an inexpensive face mask to purchase, you can easily cut one out from a plain piece of fabric.

Purchase a shower or sleeping cap to cover your hair if you cannot find a surgeons hair cover (this is optional). You may want to bring it with you to play around with.

Coordinate your accessories. A toy doctor's bag should give you all the tools you need to complete your surgeon’s costume. You should find a stethoscope a hammer, a thermometer, a play scalpel and more--for less than ten dollars.
