How to Clean a Popcorn Maker

  1. Step 1

Let the machine cool. After use, wait until all of the components of the machine have cooled to a temperature that is safe for you to clean.

  2. Step 2

Wipe down the kettle every time. After the final batch of popcorn is made, never put away an unclean machine. Use a soft cloth to wipe the sides and lip of the kettle. This should always be done prior to the next time you use the kettle.

  3. Step 3

Use the tough stuff. Heavy-duty carbon cleaners can be purchased to soften and dissolve carbon on the kettle. Use these cleaners on the kettle and wait at least 15 minutes before wiping off the build up.

  4. Step 4

Use household products. Standard window cleaner that you use on any glass surface can be used on the walls of the machine. Make sure all the popcorn has been removed from the machine.

  5. Step 5

Utilize soap and water. The steel trays and aluminum corner posts of the popcorn maker can be cleaned by just using soap and water.

  6. Step 6

Dry the machine completely. Make sure each part of the machine is dry before it is used again or before you put it away for storage. This will help the machine stay clean until the next use.

Tips & Warnings
  • At no time should the kettle of the popcorn makers be soaked in water because it can short out in liquid.
