How to Get out of a Bad Date
-
1
Get some date insurance. Date insurance basically is a close friend who can get you out of a date. Before you go out on your date, tell a friend that you will call or send a text to let her know how the date is going at a specific time. Tell her to make sure she picks up or responds. If the date is terrible, tell her to call you 10 minutes later. In front of your date, you should act as though something horrible has happened and you need to leave immediately. Call a cab if you need to and get the heck out of there. If you haven't invested in date insurance beforehand, simply excuse yourself to the bathroom, call a friend, and do the exact same thing. Tell her to call you in 10 minutes and proceed with the plan.

Wrap the date up quickly. If you have to eat dinner with this person, don't get dessert or after dinner drinks. If the person insists on dessert, tell him that you don't mean to be rude but you have to get home to prepare a presentation for work the next day.

Fake sick. Seriously. Perhaps it's an allergic reaction to the shrimp or a bad stomachache that came on suddenly. Tell your date that you need to go home and lie down. Immediately.

Start talking about your ex-boyfriend. A lot. In fact, border on excessive with this one. Talk about how much you miss him and how he used to order the same dish your date did. If you can squeeze out tears, even better. This is usually the ultimate date deal breaker.
