How to Make Steak Skewers

There are many different and great ways that to grill steak to perfection. A very popular way to make great steak is by skewering it with vegetables and grilling it. These simple steps will tell you exactly how to easily prepare a delicious dinner of skewered steak.

Things You'll Need:

  • Cubed skewer steak (or cubed steak of your choice)
  • Wooden steak skewers
  • Cutting board
  • Green peppers
  • Red peppers
  • Portabella mushrooms
  • Steak marinade of choice
  • Covered 2 quart glass dish
  • Fridge
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Grill (gas)
  • Metal tongs

    How to Make Steak Skewers

  1. Step 1

    Purchase the necessary supplies. A short trip to the local grocery store will net all the ingredients needed to grill delicious steak skewers. Don’t forget the marinade.

  2. Step 2

    Marinate the steak. Place the steak cubes in a 2 quart glass dish and cover with desired marinating sauce. Cover and refrigerate. Allow to marinate for at least fifteen minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Heat your gas grill on medium-high heat. Allow it to heat up for at least fifteen minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Wash and chop the vegetables. Wash the peppers and the mushrooms. Use a cutting board and chop the peppers into eighths.

  5. Step 5

    Skewer the steak and vegetables. Using the wooden skewers, place the steak cubes on with peppers and mushrooms in between each steak cube, until skewers are filled. Leave at least one inch of room on each end of the skewer, then season with desired amount of salt and pepper.

  6. Step 6

    Grill the skewers. Grill over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached, serve and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also try adding other variations of vegetables and sauces for a variation of flavor.
  • Always wash your hands after touching raw meat.
