How to Cast Water Spells

Water is everywhere and it also one of the most potent and simplest mediums to use for casting spells. Water spells can be cast using holy water, voodoo holy water, water from special places or sometimes even ordinary tap water. You can cast water spells with the simplest of ingredients and a few simple tips.

1. Use holy water of any sort to sprinkle around the doorways and below the windows of your home. This will cast a spell to only invite good spirits to enter there. Holy water can be found at religious stores or by bringing some water to be blessed at your local church. Just don’t tell the priest you’ll be using it for spells or he may get a little huffy.

2. Get some voodoo holy water, which is simply holy water obtained from a voodoo priest or someone who practices voodoo, and use it to cast a water spell for good works only. Using voodoo holy water to cast a negative spell will only cause the spell to bounce back and harm you. The voodoo holy water can be used to sprinkle on good luck charms or a talisman to increase their luck or put in bathwater to purify someone who has “sinned” by practicing black magic.

3. Fill a clear glass bowl nearly to the top with ordinary tap water infused with a few drops of essential rose oil or vanilla. Stir the droplets into the water in a clockwise motion. Place a floating candle in the water, light the candle and repeat a simple chant three times. An example of the chant is found in Ellen Dugan’s book “Cottage Withcery: Natural Magick for Hearth and Home”: “As the candle floats on the water so clear, release all anger and send harmony near.” You can use this cute little rhyme or come up with your own words that convey that same wish.

4. Use water gathered from inside or around France’s Notre Dame Cathedral; Bath, England; the Dead Sea; the Bermuda Triangle or any other place that is meaningful to you to sprinkle about your possessions and home for good fortune. The Bermuda Triangle water may be a little scary, so use with extreme caution.

5. Make your own special water to use in these or any other spells by collecting rainwater on a day that’s special to you, such as Halloween, All Soul’s Day, your birthday or the summer or winter solstice. If it does not happen to rain that particular day, you can fill a clear, crystal bowl with water and leave it outside for that day so it is infused with the energy that day brings. Immediately use or freeze for later use so it does not go stale or evaporate in the interim.

Tips & Warnings

• You can sprinkle water by allowing small drops to come out of a decorative canister, dampening your hand and thrusting the droplets to the intended area or by getting one of those instruments priests to sprinkle water on a crowd. Those instruments should be sold at religious stores and look like a ball with little holes on the end of a stick.

• Don’t let some yahoo accidentally drink your holy water, voodoo holy water or water imported from Notre Dame.
