Have you ever been at a party where the alcohol was flowing freely? Yes, it's a great time until the next day when your hangover makes you want to die. I am a social drinker and I have some tips that I use to keep my drinking at a moderate level so that I do not feel bad the next day.

From Quick Guide: Hangover Helper
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go for the small drinks. Instead of drinking a tall glass of a mixed drink ask if they can give you the same drink but in a smaller cup. The same principle goes with wine ask for a smaller wine glass. This makes a big difference.

  2. Step 2

After having a drink, switch to something non-alcoholic. Mineral water or a seltzer can often get the job done. This is refreshing but non-alcoholic and it gives your body a break.

  3. Step 3

Eat, Eat, Eat. If this is a gathering with buffet tables go and stand over by them and munch away. Crackers are great because they help absorb the alcohol. Eating throughout the night can absorb much of the alcohol.

  4. Step 4

Do not mix your drinks, even if someone comes over with a celebratory shot. If you start the evening drinking beer try not to sway from it, and the same goes with wine and the various liquors. If you start mixing the different alcohols you will undoubtedly suffer the next day.

  5. Step 5

Have a good time, and relax.. Drinking in moderation is not hard and not having a hangover the next day is a very good thing.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not drive your vehicle under any circumstance after consuming alcohol.
