How to Make Finger Foods

Do you love eating finger foods yet do not know exactly how to make them? In this "how to" article it will show you three different finger foods that you and your guests can enjoy. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 3 bags of small plain bagels
  • 1 jar of pizza sauce
  • 1 bag of mozzarella cheese
  • 2 bags of chicken wings
  • 2 back of chicken drumettes
  • Peanut oil
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons of hot sauce
  • 2 pounds of imitation crab meat
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pizza pan
  • 3 serving platters

  1. How to Make Finger Foods

      Take each bagel apart leaving both sides up. Spoon on pizza sauce and spread around on each bagel piece. Sprinkle each bagel generously with mozzarella cheese and place onto pizza pan. Place into a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is completely melted. Place on serving platter and set on table for display.

      Heat up one bottle of peanut oil in a deep fryer or pot. Take out your chicken wings and chicken drumettes and place them in a bowl. Carefully put 10 pieces of chicken inside hot oil, fry for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towel and repeat until all chicken has been fried. Place chicken onto large serving platter. In the middle of the platter a dipping sauce of 1 cup of mayonnaise and 3 tablespoons of hot sauce should be displayed. Set on table for display.

      Break up the 2 pounds of imitation crab meat, add 1 cup of Italian style bread crumbs, and 2 large eggs inside of a mixing bowl. Mix well until everything is married together. In a frying pan, heat up 1/2 inch of peanut oil, once heated turn down the burner to around medium heat. With the crab meat mixture start making one inch patties and placing them into the oil. Cook each one for 1 minute on each side and place onto paper towel to drain. On a serving platter, place romaine lettuce leaves all around and gently arrange crab cakes on to leaves. Set on table for display.

  • Add platters of chips and vegetables as well.

  • When cooking with oil, never leave it unattended.

  • When cooking with oil, be sure to keep the temperature controllable. Oil can ignite very quickly.
