I never used to really like champagne. But then I discovered Asti... and then the Mimosa! These are my very favorite! Hope you enjoy!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Asti Spumanti(champagne)
  • Orange Juice
  • Strawberries (1 per glass)
  • Champagne Flutes
  1. Step 1

Place champagne flutes in your freezer, while preparing ingredients.
Prepare orange juice and set aside. Thoroughly wash strawberries. Leave strawberries whole (I even leave the stem, so that you have something to hold onto). Take a small knife and cut a slice from the bottom of the strawberry, until it is just past the center. (This allows you to place one on flute for garnish and place the other in the glass to soak up the drink before eating)

  2. Step 2

Place one strawberry on the flutes rim and a second inside the glass. Pour champagne flute about 1/2 full with orange juice and the remaining with your Asti Spumati.

  3. Step 3

Now drink and enjoy! (I have to watch myself, because I can drink too many of these!) When you finish the drink, eat the strawberry at the bottom of the glass! It tastes so yummy! This is a great girls get together drink or Sunday brunch cocktail!

Tips & Warnings
  • I have found that nothing tastes like the Asti! So try any other champagne at your own risk!
  • I also think that Minute Maid orange juice seems to taste the best!
  • Chilling glasses before hand adds to the presentation and this is a drink that tastes the best very cold!
  • Be careful when opening champagne! Contents under pressure! Always point away from face and other extremities.
  • And remember to drink responsibly and never drink and drive!
