These days, most everyone has a blog. If you do not, you can register for a free blog at blogger.com. Once you have been writing your blog for three months, you can begin to register at various pay-per-post companies, such as Smorty. When Smorty accepts your blog, you can begin writing ads for their company. This is a great way to monetize your blog. It means you are not simply writing for fun, but earning extra money for doing what you like: writing.

    Creating a Smorty Account

  1. Step 1

ACCESS THE INTERNET. First, you need to click on whatever internet service provider you use. Then type "Smorty" into a search box and click the "Search" button. At least four different Smorty links will appear. Just click on the first Smorty link you see.

  2. Step 2

REGISTER AS A BLOGGER OR ADVERTISER: Once you are at the Smorty homepage, if you are a Blogger, click on the "Blogger" side of the page to register. If you are an Advertiser, click on the "Advertiser" side of the page. Click on the "Get Started" buttons on either side of the Smorty homepage.

  3. Step 3

ADD REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Once you are at either the Blogger or Advertiser page, begin adding all the registration information required, from your name and email address all the way to the name and location of your blog page (of course). If you plan on getting paid for writing ads, you must have a PayPal email address.

  4. Step 4

LOG INTO SMORTY: When your blog has been accepted by Smorty, you will receive a confirmation email. You will then be able to being writing ads for particular advertisers.

  5. Step 5

LOOK FOR AD CAMPAIGNS: Sometimes, ads will be emailed to you; other times, you can log into Smorty and look under NEW TASKS. This is where most of the ad campaigns are found. Depending on the type of blog you have, ad topics can include home, garden, gambling, outdoor play and more. Smorty has a new feature called Post Exchange; with Post Exchange, you can exchange reviews of other Smorty blog posters. They will write about your blog and you can write about theirs. This seems to be a new way of doing reviews. Reviewing your blogging peers is just now catching on.

  6. Step 6

SIGN UP FOR THE AFFILIATE PROGRAM: Once you have begun writing ads for Smorty, you can also add an affiliate code to your blog. This is also another way to earn some extra money. There are so many bloggers in cyberspace these days that someone is bound to find himself at your blog or website and sign up for a Smorty account.

Tips & Warnings
  • The higher your page rank, the more ad campaigns you will get.
  • Follow Smorty's rules for writing each ad and you will receive more ad campaigns.
