If you have fine china, porcelain or enamel pieces that you want to clean, you will love these steps that make it easy to clean your favorite pieces safely!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Whiting chalk
  • Salt shaker or cheese shaker
  • Scratch-free cloths
  1. Step 1

Pour whiting chalk into shaker (such as a salt shaker or the type that holds Parmesan cheese in a pizza restaurant).

  2. Step 2

Dampen the piece of china or porcelain that you want to clean, and sprinkle it with whiting chalk. Sprinkle on enough of the whiting chalk to make a fairly thick paste.

  3. Step 3

Use a soft, non-scratching cloth to polish the item with the paste.

  4. Step 4

Wipe the paste off with a damp cloth. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the item is as clean as you want it.

  5. Step 5

Use a clean, dry non-scratching cloth to dry the item, and move on to the next piece.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also clean your stovetop using whiting chalk.
  • Make sure the whiting chalk is completely wiped off before eating from an item cleaned with the whiting chalk.
