How to Make Strawberry Vodka Slush

A strawberry vodka slush is sweet and refreshing.

This refreshing, slushy, sweet strawberry drink gets a bit of fizz from lemon-lime soda. It's a great drink to serve at summer gatherings. You can make a batch of the mix to keep in the freezer, where it will be fine for a few months. When you make the drinks, adjust the amount of soda if you want to change the consistency of the slush.

Things You'll Need

• 1 quart fresh strawberries or 1 bag frozen strawberries
• 2 packets strawberry powdered drink mix
• 8 cups water
• 2 1/2 cups vodka
• 12-ounce can orange juice concentrate, thawed
• 2 cups sugar
• Lemon-lime soda

Instructions

1. Clean the fresh berries and place them in the blender or pour in the frozen berries.

2. Add the powdered drink mix, vodka and 1 cup sugar. Blend well.

3. Pour the mixture into a large container and add 1 cup sugar and the orange juice concentrate. Stir until blended. Cover and freeze at least 24 hours before serving.

4. Scoop about 1/2 cup of slush mix into each glass and pour in the soda. Garnish with a strawberry or other fresh fruit and serve.

• Alcoholic beverages for those of legal drinking age only!

• You may add more or less 7UP depending on how thick you want the slush.

• Serve with a small stirring straw.
