Things You'll Need:
- Microsoft Excel, 2002 or later

Step 1
Open Microsoft Excel and a workbook with more than one worksheet. It can be a new workbook or an existing workbook with multiple work sheets.

Right Click TabRight click on the tab that you want to change and a menu with pop-up.

Point & ClickHover your mouse pointer over “Tab Color” and a menu will pop-out. Click on the color of your choice from the display. If there isn’t a color displaying that you like, you can click on “More Colors” to display the full color palette.

Active TabThe tab of the active worksheet will appear underlined with the color you chose. When the worksheet is not active, like sheets 2 and 3 in the image at left (click to enlarge), then the chosen color will show as the entire background of the tab.

Step 5
If you want to color multiple sheets the same color, hold down on the CRTL key as you LEFT click each sheet you want to color in one color. Then right click and follow Step 3.
