    How to Glue Mosaic Pieces

  1. Step 1

Clean the surface of your project before applying mosaic pieces to remove dust or debris.

  2. Step 2

Position the mosaic pieces on the surface before gluing them so you can determine where you want them to be placed. It is very difficult to move mosaic pieces around once the adhesive has been applied.

  3. Step 3

Follow the instructions on the adhesive to properly attach the pieces. You should choose an adhesive that's recommended for the surface you're working with.

  4. Step 4

Place a small amount of glue on the back of a mosaic piece and place on the surface.

  5. Step 5

Allow adhesive to dry completely before applying grout or other decorative elements.

  6. Step 6

Allow the adhesive to dry completely before applying grout or other decorative elements. Most adhesives dry within 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wipe away large chunks of adhesive on the surface with a damp cloth before the adhesive sets.
  • Never ingest adhesive.
  • Consult the adhesive bottle if the adhesive is accidentally ingested.
