Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Drill
- bit set
- auger bits
- twist bits
Step1
A 24 volt cordless drill should give you enough power to do about anything. I recommend you get a cordless drill to do almost any task. The cordless drill comes with a removable battery that you can charge when battery power gets low. If you squeeze on the sides the battery should release from the drill. After that place the battery into the charger
Step2
You sneeze the trigger to operate the drill. Just above the trigger should be a 3 position switch with arrows on it. Which ever way you push the switch in determines the direction of the drill forward off, or reverse.
Step3
The drill has a 2 position switch on top this is to adjust the speed of the drill. The second position is for a higher torque speed or more power. There are also numbers around the drill is for different speeds or power as well. You will even have a picture of a bit on high powered drills that position is for drilling in concrete.
Step4
To put different bits into the drill hold the very end of the drill close to where bits will insert into the drill. Place the drill in reverse and hold the end of the drill the slot will open up for you to place your bit inside
Step5
To drill holes in metal and wood use twist bits
Step6
To drill holes in concrete use the masonry bit
Step7
To drill holes in wood use wood bits
Step8
To drill holes up to 3/4 inch in flat metal use step bits
Step9
To drill in screws use a Phillip bit or flathead bit
