Intro Linens from JCPenney.com

Gone are the days of the almost flat, feather-filled pillows. Now, some pillows are so voluminous that getting the fluffy pillow inside a pillowcase can be challenging because the 'pillow held under the chin' approach to slip the case on just won't work. The process below is a fast way to put a pillowcase on a fluffy pillow. This example is directed to a right handed person.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pillow
  • Appropriately sized pillowcase
  1. Step 1
    Fingers Inside Case Corner

Run your right hand along in the inner side of the pillowcase until the back of your fingers reach the corner.

  2. Step 2
    Grab Pillow & Case Corner

With your right hand still in the case, loosely drape the case on the end of the pillow, grabbing one corner of the pillow with your right hand. With your left hand outside the case, grab both the corner of the pillowcase and the corner of the pillow from the same corner that your right hand is located. You will be using your right hand inside the case to force the corner of the pillow into the corner of the case for your left hand to grab.

  3. Step 3
    Tug Hem

While still holding onto the pillow's corner with your left hand, pull your right hand out and tug the hem of the case down slightly

  4. Step 4

Turn the pillow around and repeat Steps 1-3. (Or keep the pillow facing you and mirror Steps 1-3.)

  5. Step 5
    Now shake it!

Continue holding on to one corner of the pillow and tugging each corner of the hem until the pillow is completely encased. Or, after a couple of tugs down, you may be able to pick the pillow up by the hem on each side of the case and shake the pillow the rest of the way into the case.

on 6/1/2008 This seems to be something I ALWAYS fight with! I am going to try this out soon! Now, if you can just help me get a snug fitted sheet onto an uncooperative mattress, then I'd be set! :)
