Things You'll Need:
- 1 cup rice
- 1/2 lb chopped steak
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- Butter
- 2 eggs
- Skillet
- Pot with a lid
- Spoon
- Wooden spatula
- Soy sauce
- 1 can water chestnuts
- 1 can bamboo shoots
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1/2 onion, diced

Step 1
Boil three cups of water in the pot. Start out with the heat on high. Move on to the next step when the water is boiling with big bubbles

The water should be at a rolling boil when you add the rice.Add one cup of rice to the water . You can lower the heat to medium high and cover the pot. Let the rice cook for 12 minutes.

Melt two tablespoons of butter in the skillet. Use medium high heat for this setting. When the butter is runny but not hissing or bubbling, move on to the next step.

Steak pieces should be bite size.Brown the chopped steak in the skillet. Stir the meat so that it does not burn on one side before it is cooked through.

Add another two tablespoons of butter and the cooked rice to the skillet. You may season the meat and rice with soy sauce at this time. Stir the mixture until it is thoroughly blended.

Crack the eggs directly into the fried rice and steak. As you continue stirring, the eggs will fry and mix in with the other ingredients.

This type of frozen vegetable mix is perfect for steak fried rice and will also add color to the dish.Add the frozen vegetables, diced onions, bamboo shoots and mushrooms. If you wish, add more soy sauce to taste.

Continue stirring the vegetables, steak and rice until the vegetables are tender. If you like your fried rice sticky, then cover the skillet and let the entire dish steam for about five minutes. If you prefer your rice drier, then do not steam the entree. Now, enjoy your steak fried rice!
